Welcome back! It has been several months since my last blog post, and I’m thrilled to introduce the rebranding of SneakersAPI: KicksDB, now hosted at the sleek domain kicks.dev.

The Growth of SneakersAPI

Since January 2025, SneakersAPI has experienced tremendous growth. We have surpassed 250 user registrations and now handle up to 50 million API requests per month. The launch of V3 has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback, and we are continuously working to refine and enhance the service.

Why the Name Change?

From the beginning, I felt that the name “SneakersAPI” lacked originality. While it was descriptive, it didn’t stand out. Additionally, the domain name was a bit too long for my liking.

Beyond personal preference, this change was also a strategic marketing decision. SneakersAPI operates in a niche market, and visibility is always a challenge. Since our official launch in September 2024, we have tested various strategies to improve our website’s ranking, but Google has been indexing our pages in an unpredictable manner. With KicksDB, we aim to establish a stronger brand identity and improve our presence in search results.

KicksDB: A Step Toward Standardization

With the launch of V3, we have been focused on making our API and documentation more user-friendly. KicksDB is a step toward greater accessibility, and we have already started rolling out updates to our documentation. The user dashboard is also set to receive enhancements in the coming days.

Keeping It Fun

Even though businesses rely on our API, KicksDB remains a passion project for me—one that I genuinely enjoy working on. I am constantly thinking about fresh design updates and innovative features to keep things exciting.

Recent Updates and Improvements

Before wrapping up, here’s a quick overview of the latest features and bug fixes that some of you may find valuable:

  • Webhooks: One of the most significant additions since the V3 launch. Users can now track price changes in USD and GBP.
  • User Dashboard: We introduced a dashboard that allows users to monitor their API consumption, manage API keys, and configure webhooks.
  • Expanded Database: Our database now contains over 400,000 GOAT products, a significant increase from the previous 70,000.
  • Performance Enhancements: Since late February, we have made major improvements to real-time performance, stability, and response times.
  • New Real-Time Endpoints: We’ve added real-time endpoints for GOAT, enabling users to track price fluctuations.
  • Enterprise API Enhancements: Direct GraphQL execution on StockX is now available through our Enterprise API.

What’s Next?

KicksDB is here to stay, and V3 was built with long-term stability in mind. Over the past few months, we have faced numerous challenges to ensure users can continue accessing critical data from platforms like StockX and GOAT. I am proud to say that our bot-bypassing strategies have improved significantly, our systems are more stable than ever, and our response times remain low.

Moving forward, we want your input to shape the next phase of KicksDB. Help us enhance the platform by sharing your feedback through this quick survey: https://sneakersapi.fillout.com/feedback.
